About

In no way do I (or could I ever) claim to be the end-all authority of Irish pubs. But I've spent a good amount of time (and paychecks) at some of the best that New York City has to offer. I've made amazing friends, met some of the greatest bartenders, and, in the process, learned a LOT about my own Irish heritage.

In January of 2011, my home away from home, Kennedy's, closed its doors just days after my 28th birthday. Sure, I could have taken a hint that it was time to stop spending Tuesday night at the pub until all hours of the morning. But let's be honest, that's not going to happen anytime soon.

The Holy Gael is about finding those Irish gems that this amazing city has to offer, all the while reflecting on the amazing times I had at Kennedy's.

Sláinte.
